Origami History Fun Facts
The word Origami generally mean Folding Paper. In this case, Ori means folding and Gami means paper.Origami is known as the Art of Paper Folding and is mostly associated with Japanese culture On the other hand, the crane represents a good fortune and longevity based on the Japanese, Chinese and Korean cultures. In this case, they believe that if one folds 1,000 origami cranes, ones wish would come true which is known as the symbol of hope and healing
Purpose
For instance, Fun and Sweet Origami includes a variety of geometric features using origami paper crafts and paper folding to create different types of interesting shapes and blocks. The goal is to simply transform a flat square sheet of paper into a finished sculpture through folding techniques. Therefore, the purpose of this website is to share the projects that I have learned which could make the students delighted and joyful with the origami paper designs through sculpting techniques

Current Event 1 (How to Fold a Jumping Frog)
- How to Fold an Origami Jumping Frog
- Start with a square sheet of paper
- Fold in half to make crease and cut in the middle to get rectangle shape
- Fold to make crease and fold back (one horizontal line)
- Fold to make a crease and fold back (two diagonal lines)
- Fold in the lines to form two triangle shapes
- Fold in the dotted line in half and fold back
- Fold in the dotted lines to meet the center (under the first layer of triangle)
- Fold in the dotted line in half
- Fold in the dotted line and fold back (to create the small triangle shapes)
- Pull out the corners
- Fold in the dotted line to form four slim triangles for arms and legs
- Fold in the dotted line in half between two arms and legs
- Fold in the dotted line in half only the bottom parts
- Turn it over and create the hands and feet
- Draw eyes and finished

2. How to Make an Origami Bird
- Start with a square sheet of paper. Fold it in half diagonally. Then, fold it in half again.
- Place your thumb under the top sheet, pulling it to the right to form a square. Crease the folds
- Turn the paper over and repeat step 2
- Fold the right and left corners to the center line, crease the folds and reopen.
- Turn the paper over and repeat step 4
- Grasp the lower tip and pull up as shown by the arrow. Fold at the horizontal dotted line. Note that right and left corners will swing to the center. Fold along creases.
- Turn the paper over and repeat step 5
- Fold right and left corners to center, and crease. Turn the paper over and repeat this step
- Reverse fold both legs
- Reverse fold 1 side to make a head
- Fold down the wings
- Finished
